Common name
Dwarf Silverleaf Willow 'Iceberg Alley'
Type
Shrub
Family
Salicaceae

Salix 'Iceberg Alley' is a dwarf, silver-leafed willow, selected in the northern regions of Canada for its exceptional cold hardiness and refined ornamental appearance. It forms a dense, rounded bush with narrow, fuzzy leaves that have a silvery-white underside, beautifully catching the light. In spring, it produces attractive silky silver catkins, sometimes tinged with pink before the foliage emerges. Ideal for beds, borders, rock gardens, or containers, it offers a subtle contrast with classic green foliage. Very undemanding, it tolerates wind, extreme cold, poor or clay soils, and only requires light pruning in spring to maintain a compact shape. A perfect decorative small shrub for northern climates.
