Organic 'Sweet Chocolate' Pepper Seeds (Capsicum annuum). This organic variety is part of Gaia's seed selection for Canadian gardens. Medium-sized pepper up to 3 to 4 in pepper. Tolerant to cool weather. Developed by Elwyn Meader at the University of New Hampshire. Life cycle: annual. Expected height: 0.6 to 0.9 m (2 to 3 ft). Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before planting date. For best results harden off at 18 to 19 °C 1/2 in 25 to 32 °C 7 to 21 days (gradual hardening off recommended). Space plants 1.5 to 0.6 m (5 to 2 ft).
