Cultivation method:
Beans prefer light, organic, well-drained soil with a pH around 6.5. Sow directly after the soil has reached at least 16°C (61°F). Place the seeds 2.5 cm (1 inch) deep and space them 8 cm (3 inches) apart in rows 45 to 70 cm (18 to 27 inches) apart. For a continuous harvest, sow every 10 days until mid-July. Maintain consistent watering, especially during flowering and pod formation. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers to encourage good pod production, and do not handle the plants when they are wet to minimize the risk of disease. Germination takes approximately 8 days.
