Thuja occidentalis 'Autumn Moon'
Thuja occidentalis ‘Autumn Moon’, commonly known as ‘Autumn Moon’ western arborvitae, is a compact, globe-shaped evergreen conifer prized for its bright golden foliage and warm seasonal coloring. In spring, its new growth emerges brilliant golden yellow, then transitions to a golden green in summer. In autumn and winter, the foliage takes on coppery bronze hues, offering prolonged decorative interest. Its dense, rounded silhouette maintains a regular shape without extensive pruning, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens, borders, foundation plantings, or container cultivation. Thuja occidentalis ‘Autumn Moon’ prefers cool, well-drained soil and tolerates full sun as well as partial shade. Very hardy, it brings lasting color and structure to landscapes in cold climates.
