Description

Thuja occidentalis ‘Hetz Midget’ is a dense, dwarf, globe-shaped western cedar, sought after for its compactness and fine texture. This evergreen conifer develops a rounded silhouette, becoming significantly wider than tall over time, making it ideal for rock gardens, structured borders, and small-scale landscaping. Its bright green foliage maintains a beautiful uniformity throughout the year and may take on a slight bronze tint in winter depending on climatic conditions. Its slow growth allows it to maintain a regular shape without frequent pruning. Very hardy and adaptable, Thuja occidentalis ‘Hetz Midget’ prefers well-drained soil and a sunny to partially shaded exposure for harmonious growth. It is an excellent choice for providing permanent structure and balance to northern gardens.
