Cedar 'Janed Gold'

‘Janed Gold’ Cedar (Thuja occidentalis ‘Janed Gold’). Thuja occidentalis ‘Janed Gold’ is a western cedar with bright golden foliage, appreciated for its pyramidal shape and sustained coloration in full sun. This evergreen conifer develops a naturally conical habit, taller than wide, ideal for structured hedges, privacy screens, and decorative vertical plantings. Its golden yellow foliage retains a beautiful intensity throughout the season and may take on a slight bronze hue in winter. Dense and well-branched, it offers good screening power while bringing brilliance and contrast to landscape designs.

To plant ‘Janed Gold’ cedar, choose a suitable exposure: full sun. The recommended soil is: well-drained, tolerates various soils. Respect the natural shape of the conifer and avoid deep cutting into parts without foliage. Monitor moisture after planting, including in autumn when the weather is dry. Aeration and drainage are as important as watering frequency. Water the root ball before planting it and ensure that water can drain away after planting. During establishment, check the moisture by hand before watering again.
