Plant in full sun, in rich, well-drained soil that has been deeply amended with compost or well-rotted manure to a depth of about 30 cm. At planting time, adding a general-purpose fertilizer promotes vigorous growth, especially when grown in pots.
Growing tips
Tomatoes appreciate consistent, but not excessive, moisture to preserve their flavor. Regular watering is especially important for container-grown tomatoes, where the soil dries out more quickly. Growing them in a warm, sunny location ensures an abundant and even harvest. Thanks to its determinate and compact growth habit, 'Sweet Valentine' requires minimal support.
Harvest
Harvest the fruit as it ripens, when it is a deep red and firm. Before the first frost, the plants can be lifted from the ground and hung indoors to allow the last fruits to finish ripening. Charming, productive, and perfectly suited to small spaces , the 'Sweet Valentine' F1 cherry tomato is an excellent choice for growing delicious tomatoes… even where space is limited.
