Vitis 'Sabrevois'
Vitis 'Sabrevois', commonly known as 'Sabrevois' grapevine, is a very hardy hybrid grape variety developed for harsh northern climates. Its vigorous climbing habit, with twining tendrils, is easily trained on trellises, pergolas, or espalier systems. It produces compact clusters of blue-black grapes with thick skins, rich in pigments and aromas, ideal for making colorful and structured red wines. Ripening typically occurs in early autumn. Its deciduous, bright green foliage forms a dense canopy during the season and can develop autumnal hues. Resistant to intense cold and relatively tolerant to diseases, Vitis 'Sabrevois' attracts pollinating insects and is an excellent choice for viticulture in cold climates.
