Vitis 'St-Pépin'
Vitis 'St-Pépin', commonly known as 'St-Pépin' grape, is a hardy hybrid grape variety renowned for its high cold resistance and versatility in winemaking. Its vigorous climbing habit, with twining tendrils, is easily trained on a trellis, pergola, or espalier system in the garden or vineyard. It produces medium-sized bunches of pale green to golden yellow grapes, with thin skin and juicy, sweet flesh that is well-balanced in acidity, ideal for making aromatic white wines and sometimes sparkling wines. Harvesting takes place in late summer. Its deciduous bright green foliage provides dense cover during the season. Vitis 'St-Pépin' attracts pollinating insects and is an excellent choice for demanding northern climates.
