‘Tango’ Grape (Vitis ‘Tango’). Vitis ‘Tango’, commonly known as the ‘Tango’ grape, is a hardy table grape variety prized for its flavorful red grapes and good adaptation to northern climates. Its vigorous, climbing habit with twining tendrils allows it to be grown on trellises, pergolas, or fences in both gardens and vegetable patches. It produces medium clusters of dark red grapes with firm skin and juicy, sweet, slightly tart flesh, perfect for fresh consumption. Harvesting typically occurs in late summer or early autumn. Its deciduous bright green foliage provides dense cover during the growing season and may turn yellow in the fall.

To plant the ‘Tango’ grape, choose a suitable exposure: full sun. The recommended soil is: well-drained, fertile, tolerates slightly sandy. Install the support before the stems become long and difficult to guide. Pruning for fruit production depends on the chosen training system. Clear the grape clusters without excessively removing foliage, which nourishes the plant during their development. Water the root ball before planting and ensure water can drain after planting. During establishment, check the moisture by hand before watering again. Spread mulch around the base, leaving the crown clear.
