Green peas for sprouting (Pisum sativum), offered by the seed company Weston Seeds

Green pea shoots offer a crisp texture and a sweet, mild flavor reminiscent of fresh garden peas. Abundant and easy to grow, they produce plump young stems that enhance salads, lunch bowls, light stir-fries, and vegetarian snacks. Versatile and quick to cultivate, they are ideal for obtaining a large quantity of fresh shoots at home.

Height: 4 to 6 cm (sprouts), 8 to 10 cm (microgreens)
Spacing: Close-cropped in jars or trays
Sowing: Soaking + indoor germination
Exposure: Soft or indirect light
Quantity per packet: 90g of seeds, untreated, non-GMO

Cultivation method:
Soak the seeds for a few hours, then place them in a tilted jar or spread them on a tray. Rinse twice a day, ensuring thorough drainage. The sprouts will develop quickly, offering a lovely crisp texture. To grow microgreens, allow them to grow until the first leaves appear. Dry them slightly before refrigerating for optimal storage.

Soaking
Soak the seeds for 4 to 8 hours to promote even hydration and vigorous germination.

Yield
Half a tablespoon of seeds produces approximately 2 to 3 cups of sweet, crunchy sprouts.

Storage
Store the seeds in a cool, dry place. Refrigerating or freezing them will prolong their shelf life.
