Cultivation method:
Sow 'Golden Crown F1' melon seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost, or directly outdoors when the soil temperature reaches at least 18°C (64°F). Plant in well-drained, organically rich soil in full sun. Space plants 90 cm to 1 m (3 to 3 ft) apart in rows 1.5 to 2 m (5 to 10 ft) apart. Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, especially during fruit development. Harvest the melons when their yellow rind becomes duller and the underside turns a light creamy yellow.
