'Great Lakes 118' lettuce (Lactuca sativa), offered by the seed company Weston Seeds

Great Lakes 118 lettuce forms large, crisp, sturdy, tightly packed heads prized for their firm texture and mild flavor. A vigorous and disease-resistant variety, it tolerates heat and drought better than many other head lettuces, making it a reliable choice for summer crops. Its uniform heads reach 15 to 20 cm in diameter.

Height: 25 to 30 cm
Spacing: 30 to 35 cm
Sowing: Direct sowing
Exposure: Full sun or partial sun / Partial shade
Quantity per packet: 1,500 seeds, untreated, non-GMO

Cultivation method:

Sow directly outdoors as soon as the ground is workable, placing the seeds at a shallow depth in fresh, fertile, and well-drained soil. Maintain consistent moisture to encourage the formation of dense heads and prevent premature bolting.

Thin or transplant to 30-35 cm to allow the apples to develop fully. For a continuous harvest, sow seeds every two to three weeks.
