The Crimson Sweet watermelon is a classic variety renowned for its large, round fruits, which can weigh up to 25 lbs. Its light green rind is striped with dark green and sometimes develops a golden-yellow hue when ripe. Its firm, fine-textured, deep red flesh is exceptionally sweet and juicy, making this watermelon a favorite among gardeners and lovers of authentic flavor.

Cultivation method:
Sow indoors 2 to 3 weeks before the last frost, or directly outdoors when the soil temperature reaches at least 18°C (64°F). Cover the seeds with 2 to 3 cm (1 inch) of potting soil and maintain consistent moisture until germination. Melons require rich, warm, and very well-drained soil.
Transplant or sow directly in the ground, spacing the vines 120 to 150 cm apart to allow them to spread out. Water deeply but infrequently, and use mulch to retain soil warmth. Harvest when the bark turns slightly yellow on the side that touched the ground and the stem begins to dry.
