How to Grow:
Direct sow seeds in early spring. In autumn, after foliage dies back, lift roots with a minimum diameter of 3 cm. Trim leaves to 1 cm and store roots horizontally in dry sand or peat in a cool, frost-free location. For forcing, replant roots upright in pots filled with sand or soilless peat. Water lightly and keep in darkness at 10–15 °C. Germination occurs in about 2 weeks.
