Rustic Elegance and Resilience for Your Gardens

Yellow dwarf Rudbeckia ( Ratibida pinnata ), offered by OSC Seeds.

This Rudbeckia, native to Canada, brightens gardens with its vibrant yellow flowers featuring reflexed petals and a distinctive dark brown tubular center. Reaching 1 m in height, it tolerates heat and drought, and blooms from mid-summer to early autumn. A favorite of butterflies and birds, this perennial is ideal for natural gardens and sunny areas.

Plant height : 1 m
Companion plants : Echinacea, asters, coneflowers
Noxious plants : Constantly damp soil
Suggested uses : Pollinator gardens, meadows, natural borders
Plant type : Perennial

Cultivation method:

Start sowing indoors in early March in a soilless mix. Press the seeds onto the surface without covering them. Cold-treat by placing the container in the refrigerator for 30 days, then bring it back to 21°C (70°F) for germination. After germination, grow the seedlings in light at a slightly cooler temperature. Harden them off before transplanting them outdoors after the last frost. For natural stratification, sow directly in autumn.

Add this resilient native plant to your garden for vibrant blooms and enhanced biodiversity.

The availability of our seeds varies depending on seasonal availability, production schedules and supplier inventory. Certain varieties may only be offered for a limited time based on their natural growth cycle, sowing period or available stock.
