Vanhoutte Spirea (Spiraea × vanhouttei). Spiraea × vanhouttei is a classic hybrid spirea, prized for its spectacular cascading white spring blooms, which completely cover its long, arching branches. It forms a large, bushy, broad, and weeping shrub, often wider than it is tall, ideal for informal hedges, flowering screens, or as a specimen plant. Its blue-green, finely toothed foliage sometimes turns yellow to purple in autumn.
