How to Plant
Plant the rhizomes 3 to 5 cm deep in well-drained, rather poor soil. Space each plant 30 to 40 cm apart to allow them to spread. Ideal planting is in spring or autumn.
Growing Tips
Prefers dry to moderately fertile soils and a sunny location. Tolerates drought once established and also thrives in calcareous soils.
Maintenance
Remove faded flowers to encourage new blooms. Cut back the clump in autumn and divide every 3 to 4 years to maintain the plant's vigor.
