Non-stop Begonia 'Rose'
It produces exceptionally abundant blooms that bring softness and elegance to patios, balconies, and shaded gardens. Its compact habit makes it easy to incorporate into any landscape.
Non-stop Pink Begonia (Begonia × tuberhybrida Non-stop ‘Pink’) charms with its large, double soft pink flowers arranged in delicate rosettes above dense, fleshy dark green foliage. From June to October, its generous blooms renew themselves continuously, bringing softness, romance, and elegance to shaded landscapes. Reaching 20 to 30 cm in height, this tuberous begonia has a compact habit that fits easily into smaller spaces, window boxes, and borders. Perennial in Zone 10, it is not winter hardy in Quebec and must be overwintered in a frost-free location.
Plant the tuber in spring after all danger of frost has passed, approximately 2 to 3 cm deep, with the hollow side facing upward. Place it in partial sun or partial shade in rich, light, fertile, perfectly drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. Keep the growing medium evenly moist without allowing it to become waterlogged, and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer every two weeks during active growth. Remove faded flowers regularly to support continuous blooming. Before the first frost, lift the tuber, allow it to dry, and store it in a cool, dry, frost-free location.
Ideal for shaded flower beds, borders, window boxes, large containers, and sheltered patios, this begonia creates romantic, luminous displays. It pairs beautifully with impatiens, fuchsias, lobelias, bacopas, and coral bells, which highlight the softness of its pink blooms. The flowers may attract some pollinators but are valued primarily for their outstanding ornamental appeal. With its compact habit and uninterrupted flowering, it is an excellent choice for bringing softness and colour to smaller spaces. This variety is not intended for consumption.
