‘Dressed in Ruffles’ Daylily (Hemerocallis). The ‘Dressed in Ruffles’ daylily (Hemerocallis) forms a vigorous clump of arching green leaves topped with large, multi-colored salmon-pink flowers with delicately ruffled petals. Each flower typically lasts only one day, but several buds follow one another on the scapes during the summer flowering season. The plant reaches about 65 cm (26 in) in height and 30 cm (12 in) in spread. This horticultural cultivar belongs to the genus Hemerocallis, family Asphodelaceae. Its neat habit, ruffled edges, and refined color give it an elegant presence in beds, perennial borders, and plantings visible from the patio.

Plant seedling No. 1 in spring in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil, placing the crown at soil level or slightly below the surface. Choose full sun to maximize flowering, or light partial shade in very hot regions. Space plants about 45 to 60 cm (18 to 24 in) apart to allow clumps to spread and maintain good air circulation. Water deeply after planting and keep the soil consistently moist during rooting, without overwatering. When container gardening, use a pot at least 35 to 40 cm (14 to 16 in) in diameter with free drainage holes.
