Planting 'Russet Burbank' potatoes

Preparation of the tubers
Before planting , let the tubers germinate in a bright, cool place for 2 to 3 weeks.
Cut the large tubers into pieces , making sure that each section has at least one eye.

Planting method
1Choose a well-drained, light soil rich in organic matter.
2Plant the tubers 10-15 cm (4-6") deep , spaced 30 cm (12") apart.
3Cover with soil and water lightly.

Buttage
When the plants reach 20 cm (8") in height, mound soil around the stems to encourage tuber production and protect them from the sun.
