Hibiscus bush

Latin name
Hibiscus rosa-sinensis
Common name
Hibiscus bush, tropical hibiscus
Type
Tropical ornamental shrub grafted onto a stem
Family
Malvaceae

The shrub-like Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is a lush, floriferous ornamental plant, popular for its large, showy, trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom throughout the summer. Available in a wide range of vibrant colors—red, pink, yellow, orange, white, or bicolor—this hibiscus brings a touch of exoticism and vitality to gardens, patios, and balconies. Its compact, dense habit makes it an excellent bedding plant, container plant, or decorative hedge in tropical climates. In Quebec, it is grown in pots during the summer and must be brought indoors for the winter. Please note that not all perennials and tropical plants are available year-round: please call one of our branches or send us an email request to check inventory.
