Chamomile produces pretty white and yellow flowers resembling small daisies, which are highly aromatic and used in herbal teas , perfumes , and potpourri . It is an extremely easy-to-grow annual that self-seeds readily and can form natural stands from year to year. The plants reach 60 cm in height and about 30 cm in width, with numerous slender branches. Thriving in full sun , it is ideal for rock gardens, natural flower beds, and medicinal herb gardens. Also known as Kamille or Mayweed .

Planting and maintenance:
Sow in full sun , on the surface (seeds need light to germinate), in light, well-drained soil. Keep slightly moist until germination. Thin seedlings to 20–25 cm apart. Water moderately: chamomile tolerates drought well once established. Harvest fully opened flowers for herbal teas and dry them in a warm, airy place. Leave a few flowers to mature to encourage natural self-seeding .
