The Manitoba tomato, an heirloom variety specially developed for short growing seasons , produces abundant, juicy, and flavorful medium-sized red fruits. Highly resistant to spring frosts , it matures quickly and provides reliable harvests even in cooler climates. Its determinate growth habit makes it an excellent choice for northern gardens, small flower beds, or beginner vegetable gardens.

Planting and maintenance:
Start sowing 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost. Transplant outdoors in full sun after all risk of frost has passed, into rich, well-drained soil. Space plants approximately 45 to 60 cm apart. Water regularly and mulch to retain moisture. As this variety is determinate , a light stake is sufficient. Harvest regularly to encourage continuous production.
