White 'Ghost' hot pepper

description
The White Ghost pepper is a rare variety of the famous Bhut Jolokia, also known as the Ghost pepper. This selection is distinguished by its unusual and elegant color. The fruits start out pale green and then ripen to a creamy white with a slightly ivory hue when fully mature.
The plant is vigorous and can reach about 1.2 meters in height, producing numerous elongated chilies with a slightly wrinkled surface. Like other Bhut Jolokia varieties, this one combines extreme heat with a complex, fruity flavor.
The ghost pepper is renowned for its gradual build-up of heat. At first bite, the spiciness seems moderate, but it quickly intensifies after a few seconds, reaching a burning intensity that lingers at the back of the throat. This characteristic makes it particularly popular with lovers of very hot peppers.

Farming method
Sowing: Start sowing indoors 10 to 12 weeks before the last frost.
Germination: 14 to 35 days, sometimes longer for very strong varieties.
Germination temperature: 26 to 30 °C.
Germination tip: Soaking seeds for 12 to 24 hours before sowing can significantly reduce germination time. Without soaking, some varieties of Capsicum chinense can take up to 6 weeks to germinate.
Transplanting: Transplant outdoors when nighttime temperatures remain above 12°C and all risk of frost has passed.
Location: full sun and warm location.
Soil type: rich, fertile and well-drained soil, enriched with compost.
Watering: maintain regular moisture without waterlogging the soil.
Fertilization: fertilize regularly with a balanced fertilizer then promote a richer supply of potassium during fruiting.
Harvest
Days before harvest: approximately 100 to 120 days after transplanting.
Colour at maturity: creamy white.
Uses: very strong sauces, dehydration for powder or flakes, adding in small quantities to spicy dishes.
pot culture
The White Ghost pepper can be successfully grown in a pot. Use a container of at least 15 to 20 liters to support the plant's vigorous growth. Place the pot in a very sunny and warm location. Regular fertilization and consistent watering promote good production. Growing in a pot also allows you to move the plant to maximize heat and light.
Uses and specific features
Thanks to its intense fruity aroma and extreme heat, this chili pepper is ideal for making homemade hot sauces, chili powders, or dried flakes. A very small amount is enough to spice up a dish. Its unusual white color also makes it a highly sought-after variety among collectors and enthusiasts of rare chili peppers.
Warning
⚠️ Warning: This chili pepper is extremely hot. Wear gloves when handling and avoid contact with eyes or sensitive skin. Use sparingly in cooking.
