Common name
Hybrid elm 'Triumph'
Type
TREE
Family
Ulmaceae

Ulmus × 'Triumph' is a new-generation hybrid elm, resulting from a cross between Ulmus davidiana var. japonica and Ulmus pumila, selected for its high resistance to Dutch elm disease, as well as to insects and harsh urban conditions. Its oval to rounded, dense, and symmetrical canopy makes it an excellent shade tree for streets, parks, or large gardens. Its satin dark green foliage turns golden yellow in autumn, extending its seasonal appeal. Very hardy and fast-growing, it prefers well-drained soil and a sunny exposure, and tolerates pollution, drought, and pruning. 'Triumph' combines tolerance, vigor, and aesthetics, perfect for confidently replacing traditional elms in sustainable landscaping.
