Vaccinium corymbosum 'Perpetua'
The Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Perpetua’, commonly known as the ‘Perpetua’ reblooming blueberry, is a deciduous fruiting shrub with a compact, upright habit, remarkable for its ability to produce two harvests per season. In spring, it is covered with pinkish-white, nectar-rich bell-shaped flowers, followed by a first abundance of firm and sweet dark blue blueberries in early summer. After a short break, a second bloom appears on new wood, providing a second harvest in late summer or early autumn. The fruits are medium-sized, juicy, and well-balanced in sugar and acidity. Its glossy green foliage turns beautiful orange-red hues in autumn. Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Perpetua’ prefers acidic soil, rich in organic matter, and well-drained, and is an excellent choice for extending the harvesting season.
