Cultivation method:

Sow seeds directly into the ground as soon as the soil has warmed up, at a depth of 1.5 to 2 cm. Space the plants 10 to 15 cm apart in the row, with rows spaced 30 to 45 cm apart for good aeration. Prefer loose, rich and well-drained soil to promote optimal root growth.

Water regularly to maintain constant humidity, while avoiding overwatering. Thin out the plants as soon as they reach 5 cm to ensure good root development.

Harvest the roots when they have reached optimum size to ensure a tender texture and sweet flavour. The roots are perfect for cooking, pickling or grated raw into salads. The foliage can also be eaten like spinach, adding a nutritious option to your meals.

Add a touch of tradition and reliability to your vegetable garden with 'Detroit Supreme Red' beetroot, a versatile and tasty variety, ideal for gardeners of all skill levels.
