Cultivation method :
Sow the seeds indoors as soon as March-April in a warm, bright location. Transplant young plants to the garden or into pots when the risk of frost has passed, usually end of May .
Prefer rich, well-drained, slightly moist soil for optimal growth.
Place basil in full sun to encourage abundant leaf production. Harvest regularly, pinching off the leaves at the base to encourage branching and delay flowering. To prolong its use, store the leaves fresh, dried, or frozen.
