Organic 'Jubilee' Tomato
Organic 'Jubilee' tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) from the seed company Gaia, a large, bright yellow-orange tomato, fleshy and too often forgotten
The 'Jubilee' tomato is a vibrant heirloom variety that richly deserves to be rediscovered. Indeterminate and vigorous, it produces large, bright yellow to orange tomatoes , sometimes adorned with a green shoulder typical of older varieties. Highly attractive in the garden and in the kitchen, 'Jubilee' offers dense, meaty, and almost seedless flesh, making it a choice tomato for thick slices, colorful salads, tasting plates, or gentle cooking. Its flavor is sweet, well-rounded, and delicately fruity, with a brightness reminiscent of the sun it so aptly embodies.
Often overlooked in favor of other, better-known orange tomatoes, 'Jubilee' is proving to be one of the best options for those looking for a large yellow-orange tomato that is beautiful, productive and gourmet.

Farming method
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost . Bury the seeds 3–6 mm (1/8–1/4") deep in a light potting mix and maintain a temperature of 23–29°C until germination, which takes 5 to 10 days . Then reduce watering and nitrogen during hardening-off to produce vigorous seedlings.
Transplant outdoors once all risk of frost has passed. Space plants 60 to 90 cm (24 to 36 inches) apart, and allow 120 to 180 cm (4 to 6 feet) between rows. Provide full sun (level 3) , regular watering (watering level 3) , and sturdy staking , which is essential to support the large, heavy fruit.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest when the fruit has reached its beautiful, uniform yellow-orange color. To get a head start, pick the fruit showing its first signs of color , then let it ripen off the vine at 22°C or higher . Store between 12 and 21°C in 95% relative humidity to preserve its sweetness and firmness.
