Spaghetti squash is a pale yellow heirloom variety prized for its unique stringy flesh , which transforms into "spaghetti" when cooked. While it takes longer to mature , it develops an excellent nutty flavor when fully ripe. The approximately 4-pound fruits offer remarkable storage, making it an ideal variety for fall and winter. Originating from Sakata 's original breeding, it is reliable, productive, and perfect for gardens in warm climates and well-heated soils.

Farming method
Soak the seeds for a maximum of 24 hours in lukewarm water and scarify to stimulate germination.
Start sowing indoors 3 to 4 weeks before the last frost. Transplant outdoors in late May–early June , when the soil reaches 25°C .
Sow at a depth of 2.5 cm (1″) .
Spacing: 38–45 cm between plants, 60–90 cm between rows.
Grow in full sun (level 3) with moderate watering (level 2).
Germination in 7 to 10 days between 21 and 35 °C (optimal 27–35 °C).
Maturity in 50–55 days after outdoor planting.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest when the color becomes rich , the skin is hard like a nail , and the stain on the ground turns from creamy yellow to orange.
Leave 2″ of stem to prevent rot.
Allow to ripen in a warm, dry place before storing.
Store at 10–12 °C , with 55–75% humidity and good ventilation.
