The 'Parade Bunching' shallot is a heritage variety selected for its sweet flavor , perfectly upright growth habit , and uniform, bulbless stems , making harvesting and cleaning very easy. With vigorous, dark green tops and good intermediate resistance to basal rot and pink root rot , it is an excellent choice for both home gardeners and commercial growers. Developed by Bejo Seeds , it produces well-formed clumps ideal for shallot bouquets.

Farming method
Sow directly outdoors or start indoors 6 weeks before planting out. Sow in clusters if started in a tray.
Pinch the ends of the stems at 10 cm and then prune to 2.5 cm when they reach 12.5 cm to encourage the thickening of the stems.
Seed depth: 6–12 mm (1/4–1/2″) .
Place in full sun (level 3) and water moderately (level 2).
Germination in 7 to 14 days between 7 and 32 °C (optimal 20–25 °C).
Spacing: 5–7 cm between plants, 30–60 cm between rows.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest 8 to 12 weeks after sowing. Pick the largest stems first to allow the others to grow larger and prolong the harvest.
Store in the refrigerator or freeze sliced for later use.
