Farming method

Ensure the plot is weed-free . Spread the mixture evenly, then lightly rake and firm down to ensure good soil contact. Sow at a maximum depth of 3 mm (1/8 in). Keep the soil moist until germination, which occurs in 15 to 28 days at 18–21 °C (optimum ~15 °C). Sow in late spring , early summer , or late autumn when the soil temperature is below 4.4 °C to avoid premature germination. Plant in partial sun/partial shade (level 2) and water moderately (level 2). Space plants approximately 8 cm apart and 90 cm between sowed areas to allow the clumps to develop evenly.

Harvesting and preservation

Harvest fresh flowers according to the species for country-style bouquets. Let some flowers go to seed to encourage natural reseeding , which will maintain the cottage effect year after year.
