Nigella 'Miss Jekyll White' offers delicate, luminous, and refined white flowers , ideal for complementing blue or bicolored varieties in bouquets. An annual heirloom variety, it is highly attractive to pollinators and readily self-seeds. It then forms small, decorative seed pods , prized for dried arrangements.

Farming method
Perform a 3-week cold stratification before sowing. Sow indoors 4 weeks before the last frost, at a depth of 3 mm . Germination occurs in 10 to 14 days at 18-21°C (optimum 20°C). Transplant after all risk of frost has passed into full sun (level 3), with moderate watering (level 2). Space plants 28 cm apart and rows 43 cm apart. For longer stems, autumn sowing outdoors is possible.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest either:
• Freshly colored buds for use in fresh bouquets,
• either the pods when they begin to develop for dried compositions.
Hang them in a dry, well-ventilated place to preserve their shape and whiteness. The flowers are edible , but the seeds should be used according to traditional culinary practices.
