Organic 'Lucky Cross' Tomato
Organic 'Lucky Cross' tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) from the seed company Gaia, a large bicolor tomato with pink stripes, exceptional in flavor and a worthy successor to Brandywine
The 'Lucky Cross' tomato is a remarkable heirloom variety, renowned for its large 10-16 oz fruits , exceptional flavor, and visual appeal. Indeterminate and highly productive, it yields tomatoes similar in size and shape to Brandywine , with dense, juicy, and sweet flesh. What truly sets it apart is its pink-streaked interior , where rosy veins extend from the center outwards, creating a beautiful marbled effect when sliced.
A late-maturing variety, it takes its time to ripen, but in return offers an explosion of rich, complex, almost fruity flavors, making it one of the best heirloom bicolor tomatoes. 'Lucky Cross' is a true gem for tasting platters, fresh cuisine, and culinary creations where you want to showcase an exceptional tomato.

Farming method
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost. Sow seeds 3–6 mm (1/8–1/4") deep in a light potting mix and maintain a temperature of 23–29°C for germination in 5 to 10 days . Reduce watering and nitrogen during hardening off to encourage strong seedlings.
Transplant when all risk of frost has passed. Space plants 60 to 90 cm (24 to 36") apart, with 120 to 180 cm (4 to 6') between rows. Ensure full sun (level 3) , regular watering (watering level 3) , and install sturdy supports , essential for producing large fruit.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest when the fruit has fully developed its golden color and the inner flesh has its characteristic pinkish hues. To bring forward the harvest, pick the fruit that has already begun to color , then let it ripen off the vine at 22°C or higher . Store between 12 and 21°C , at 95% relative humidity , to preserve its juiciness.
