A heritage variety dating back to the mid-1920s , “Bloomsdale Long Standing” remains the standard Savoy spinach thanks to its deeply crinkled , tender leaves with a rich, aromatic flavor. They are excellent raw in salads, but also perfect sautéed or added to hot dishes. Hardy, reliable, and highly prized by gardeners, this spinach grows quickly and is quite cold -hardy.

Planting and maintenance:
Sow in spring or late summer in full sun, in cool, fertile, well-drained soil. Space rows 25–30 cm apart and thin to 7–10 cm . Water regularly to keep leaves tender. To extend the harvest, sow successively every two weeks during the cooler months. Harvest by picking the outer leaves to encourage regrowth.
