Robust and hardy, this large perennial is prized for its decorative, coarsely toothed, palmate, dark green foliage tinged with bronze. Above the foliage, large, creamy white, sometimes pale pink, fragrant terminal panicles develop. Slow to establish, it only flowers after two years. It requires very cool, moist soil.
