Farming method
Perform a two-week cold stratification before sowing. Sow directly outdoors in early spring , even if there is a risk of frost, as transplanting is not recommended. Sow seeds 3 mm deep. Space plants 15 to 20 cm apart, with 30 to 35 cm between rows. Germination occurs in 14 to 21 days at approximately 12–14 °C . Plant in full sun (level 3) and maintain minimal watering (level 1). A sheltered location is ideal for preserving flowering.
Harvesting and preservation
Cut the freshly opened flowers for immediate use (they don't last long in a vase). The seed pods can be harvested and dried for dried bouquets or floral arrangements. Allow a few flowers to go to seed to ensure natural reseeding in the garden.
