Common name
Vine 'Adalmiina'
Type
Fruit-bearing climbing plant
Family
Vitaceae

Vitis 'Adalmiina', commonly known as the 'Adalmiina' grape, is an exceptionally hardy Nordic grape variety, developed to withstand harsh winters while producing quality grapes. Its very vigorous climbing habit, with robust tendrils and thick shoots, allows it to quickly cover pergolas, arbors, and trellises in full sun, forming a dense plant screen thanks to its deep green deciduous foliage that turns yellow in autumn. It produces medium clusters of dark blue to purplish-black grapes, with thick skin and juicy flesh, offering a sweet flavor supported by a distinct acidity, with notes of dark berries and a slight wild touch. Used for processing into juice, jellies, or artisanal wines, it is distinguished by its reliable productivity and remarkable tolerance to extreme cold.
